Our Undiscovered Self
Our Undiscovered Self
the Scandalous Lie, Part 3, the Conclusion
I watched a podcast interview recently where the guests
were four women. The hosts asked their guests this question.
How do you get your needs for attention met, in person or
on the internet? Each one after the other spoke slower with a sinking level of trepidation
and shame, “On the internet.”
By appearance, all were appealing women by dress, makeup,
and features. I felt their feeling of exposure answering the question.
One of the alluring features of the internet is that of
getting human needs met in ways that satisfy the mind for moments like some
drugs satisfy feelings in the body for moments.
I want to be clear that the internet is not the problem. It
represents the medium of the three things necessary to convict people in court
of a crime; means, motive, and opportunity.
We should be careful not to get the details twisted. This
behavior affects men, too many children, and seniors. None are exempt except
those without access.
There exists this psychological truth that is a factor
here. It is that the human mind cannot tell the difference between a real and a
really well imagined experience. Scientific and medical examinations have proven
the same areas of the brain light up each time, whether a real experience or a
really well imagined one. Here the internet is means.
Motive is discovered in the human need to connect with
others in meaningfully satisfying ways. Opportunity exists in the ease of
access as close as the A.I. appendage in your hand, your phone. In this context,
your phone becomes an Aladdin’s Lamp. You touch it the right way and your
wishes virtually come true.
Add to this all the devices available to date in the
marketplace to satisfy sexual needs for women and for men. While autoeroticism
is not a new component mix of the human matrix, it is riding a tsunami wave.
NOTE:
I recommend the Sylvester Stallone Film, Demolition Man to examine this
further.
Autoeroticism can be managed without the risk of trusting
another person and the liabilities they may bring, physically, emotionally, and
financially. That is always a risky venture under the best of conditions.
Where does the scandalous lie factor into this? It says
to all of us that we are not enough. Because we do not know that we are more than
enough, we do not explore our inner selves, where our best companion dwells; our
undiscovered self.
We think outwardly beyond ourselves looking for answers.
We discount the universe within us, where questions and answers are one. The
more we intentionally come together with ourselves, the more we become freer
from the dictates and dependencies of the outer world.
Remember this and you can become the CREATOR of the world
your heart craves by desire. The human mind cannot tell the difference between
a real and a really well imagined experience. You are created and privileged to
create your own reality.
It does not matter how old you are when you discover this
truth because the moment you do, you will become alive in your life.
Isn’t it time for you to live wide awake, WIDE AWAKE?
Thanks for reading. If you found this valuable and it
spoke to you, perhaps it will speak to someone you know.
